Genuine Citrine
Citrine is derived from the French word citron, meaning lemon. The ancients revered citrine as a gift of the sun. It was believed to bring its wearer a calm, cheerful and objective attitude. An alternate birthstone for November, citrine also is a suggested gift for the 13th wedding anniversary. A form of quartz, citrine is found in earth-tone colors that vary from pure to soft yellow, golden honey to smoky brown. Citrine has good luster and durability at 7 on the Moh’s scale.
